Discount campaign
The discount is only available for first-time enrolments in our bachelor’s and master’s distance learning programmes until 05.04.2023 and only to non-students of distance learning programmes of IU International University of Applied Sciences. The studies must be commenced by 31.10.2023 at the latest.
The first month of your studies is free of charge if you decide against studying with us during this trial phase. If you continue with your distance learning programme, the first month counts as a regular month and will be charged as such.

People who have already registered (online) are not eligible for the discount. For the advanced training programme of Ökonom (IU) and the four Betriebstwirt programmes (IU), the discount is only applicable to a connecting distance learning programme at IU International University of Applied Sciences. The discount voucher cannot be redeemed for cash. The discount cannot be combined with other campaign or cooperation discounts.
iPad campaign
Every student who enrolls at our university of applied sciences for the first time in a bachelor’s or master’s programme or participates in a distance learning training programme and has their registered address in the European Union will receive an iPad (wifi compatible, bluetooth) to use free of charge for the duration of their studies. This does not include participants of FlexLearning, corporate trainings, special programmes and cooperations. Participants with no registered address in the European Union can receive an iPad if they indicate a registered address within the European Union. Additional costs for data transmission apply. The iPad will be delivered to you by our external provider shortly after the beginning of your studies. This is subject to Apple’s availability. A delayed delivery from Apple results in a delayed delivery to the student. The iPad remains the property of the external provider for the entire duration of the distance learning contract. If the student completes their distance learning contract as per agreement and completes their degree successfully, the iPad becomes the property of the student once the distance learning contract runs out.
If the distance learning contract ends prematurely (e.g. because one party cancels it or for other reasons), the student must return the iPad in functional condition within one week of the contract ending. The student bears the return costs of the carrier commissioned by the external provider. Further details can be found in the transfer of use agreement.
Cancellation
After your enrolment, you can test our online study programme for four weeks free of charge and without obligation. During this time, all IU offers and services are available to you. If the online study programme with us is not right for you, you can cancel it free of charge within these four weeks. In case you decide to stay with us, you simply continue studying after the trial phase. In this case, your first month is considered a regular study period and is subject to a fee. We only charge the first month after the end of the trial period.
You can then terminate the contract with six weeks' notice, for the first time at the end of the first six months. Later, you are free to cancel at any time with three months' notice (in each case to the end of a full month, in relation to the start of the contract).
