We like to make sure our content is based on state-of-the-art scientific findings. This means the English electives "Supply Chain and Sourcing Management" as well as "Aspects of International Management" are under development at the time of launching the online study programme Supply Chain Management. They will be available from December 1st, 2022, in line with the scheduled semester plan. There’s nothing to stop you from starting your study programme at the earliest possible date!

Supply Chain Consultant
As a supply chain consultant, you use your analytical skills to improve the supply chain process. Together with your clients, you analyse business dynamics and create forecasts using quantitative methods and clever thinking. In addition, you develop requirements and standards concerning packaging and delivery standards. You solve complex supply chain problems using in-depth analyses and your excellent sense of business.
Head of Supply Chain
As head of supply chain, you oversee the supply chain departments of your company. This means the entire supply chain is your responsibility. You manage business relations and select new suppliers. In addition, you develop goals for each department, set priorities and evaluate whether milestones were reached. Together with management, you are in charge of the planning of and adherence to the supply chain budget.
Supply Chain Operations Manager
Your tasks as an operations manager include the planning, controlling and optimisation of company-wide value creation processes and systems. As an example, you might be in charge of analysing key performance or service indicators and making the results available to relevant partners within your supply chain. This way, you strengthen each link in the chain and support successful collaboration.

The total price includes a one-off graduation fee in the amount of €699 for Bachelor’s degree courses and €799 for Master’s degree courses. This fee is payable at the end of your studies.
Optional additional charges for international exams
Separate charges are payable for exams taken outside Germany, Austria and Switzerland. These are to be paid to the exam centre on site and currently amount to (where necessary in the local currency):
For exams taken this way, 120 euros is payable for single or multiple exams taken within an exam slot lasting up to max. 120 minutes.
For exams lasting more than 120 minutes up to 360 minutes, 170 euros is payable to the respective institute per exam slot.
As an alternative, students can make use of our online exam option which allows them to sit their exams at any place and time without any additional charges.
Career coaching: this offer is available to Bachelor’s degree students (with at least 120 ECTS) and Master’s degree students.
For the bachelor's degree program in product design, you will need model building materials and services such as FabLabs and Makerspaces for about 200.00 euros.
For the bachelor's degree program in electrical engineering, you will need hardware products such as an Arduino KIT, an FPGA board and a multimeter/oscilloscope/function generator for about 600.00 euros.
Additional costs for your Master's for Professionals: One-time fee for master’s entrance exam: 500€ (includes the course „Academic Work“)
Cloud-based open source tools: in order to make use of cloud-based open source tools during your studies, you will need a desktop PC or laptop. Neither is included in the package of services we provide.

Proof of at least one year of qualified professional experience at the beginning of the study programme (this must be acquired after completion of the undergraduate degree) and at least two years of qualified professional experience by the end of the study programme.
If you choose the English-language study option, we require proof of your English language skills. You can provide us with proof of this as follows:
- TOEFL (min. 80 points) or
- IELTS (min. Level 6) or
- Duolingo English test (min. 95 points) or
- Cambridge Certificate (min. overall grade B) or
- equivalent proof (e.g. Speexx B2.2 Certificate, complimentary when signing up with IU)
Note: The proof must be submitted before the start of the study programme and must not be older than five years. If you have already completed your first degree in English or are a native English speaker, you no longer need to prove your English language skills separately.
