What you need to start this master's programme: a bachelor's degree, programming knowledge and at least 1 year of qualified professional experience in the field of software engineering.

The two-semester master's programme in Software Engineering Management is distinguished by its balance between generalist and specialised content. That means, in addition to acquiring important basics, you have the opportunity to focus on specific specialist areas. With the theoretical knowledge conveyed, the programme directly links to professional practice, allowing you to learn all necessary competencies for the design and management of software development processes. The study plan takes into account relevant topics from the internationally recognised Software Engineering Body of Knowledge IEEE SWEBoK V3 (ISO/IEC TR 19759:2005) with modules in the areas of process and quality models, software management and methodological competence.

Depending on your personal or professional situation, full-time study is not always easy to manage. That is why we have also developed part-time programmes for all our degrees, which offer flexible and longer study periods. This way, you can study alongside your job or during your time off, whether at home or abroad. The content of the different models is identical. Depending on the study model, we will adjust your tuition fees accordingly. With the part-time variants, your weekly study workload is reduced.
