Responding in a professional manner to work-related challenges and development tasks is as much a part of social work as planning, managing and implementing social projects. In addition to social work skills, this also requires a sound knowledge of business and economics, which we impart in the Master’s degree in Social Work.

The broadly diversified study content with the elective modules Early Childhood Education and Upbringing & Clinical Social Work and Health Promotion & Social Space Orientation and Networking will ensure you are optimally prepared for the professional challenges that lie ahead. After graduation, you will be able to deal with the diverse and growing fields that make up this discipline and take on responsibility as a leader and manager.

And by the way, with a degree from our Master’s study programme in Social Work, you can start postgraduate training as a Child and Youth Psychotherapist in accordance with the German Psychotherapists Act. If you successfully complete this vocational training, you are eligible to receive your licence to practice as a registered therapist. If you do not want to become self-employed, you can, of course, also work as an employee in clinics or practices.
