What digitalisation potential is there in Production or Logistics? How do you develop solutions for the production of the self-driving car? Industrial engineers deal with such questions and thus ensure that Germany maintains its global leadership in the digitalisation of industry. In the Industrial Engineering Industry 4.0 online study programme, we prepare you for this challenging task with a mixture of business know-how and expert knowledge. We also place particular emphasis on a high level of practical relevance. Throughout the duration of your studies, tasks in our virtual labs are part of your studies.
What are virtual labs? Our virtual labs involve practical tasks that you simulate, model or calculate with special software tools or solve with the Arduino kit provided. You will receive the kit consisting of an Arduino microcontroller and some accessories such as sensors and LEDs from us at the beginning of the online study programme. The work in the virtual laboratory takes place within the framework of the following modules:

Send an email to study@iu.org to find out which previous achievements you can get recognised. Make sure you send your application before the end of your 1-month trial. You can get your previous achievements recognised during your studies. However, we can no longer grant you a cost reduction after the end of the trial month.
